THE CANNIBALISTIC

After a long and boring Winter, that got its nose in the business of Spring, we can finally welcome Summer! Time to get nails done, wear shorts and dresses and soak up in the sun. This Summer is not a basic one, one of my favorite sports events are finally back, yes I am talking about the Olympics .  Now, about the CFDA Awards, which is the Council of Fashion Designers of America; I have to put aside Beyoncé’s speech and talk more of the underdogs. The winners of the Swarovski Award, for emergent designers were Brandon Maxwell (womenswear), Orley (Menswear), and Paul Andrew (Accessories). No shade on Bey, I just think it is important to keep an eye on new designers, they are fresh in the business and hopefully they will be the trendsetters in a couple of years. Personally, I think Orley is the one to watch; it has the true American Sportswear style (which I love everything Sportswear, duh!). Follow my blog with Bloglovin Last time I wrote something, was June 18 th of 2014. When I look at my blog I see I only have time to sit down and dedicate time to it every two years. Embarrassing. I can’t come with false promises, I really love writing about fashion from another perspective, even if it is only for the exercise of writing. We can get to know with the speed of the light what’s happening in the other half of the world. We have more access to the information, objects, news and events, only because of the efficiency of the internet, cell phones and social networks. We interact through blogs, facebook, twitter, instagram, printerest, livestream, and others; showing the world what we eat, how we dress up, where and how we work, what we like, what we read, everything. We share our life with strangers. This ambition of sharing our life, has helped brands to focus more on what customers want; cool hunters to get close to what’s about to happen; trend watchers to see new ways of costumer behavior.
